For what feels like eons, more precisely for 30 years, a rebellious wave has been making its way through the underground scene, successfully avoiding even the radar of the mainstream media. The protagonists of this underground musical revolution call themselves Stage Bottles – a band so anti-capitalist that they probably press their albums on hand-carved vinyl discs made from recycled coffee cups.
In a bold act of resistance to the superficiality of today's music landscape, Stage Bottles have released a whopping seven albums, of which even die-hard music lovers probably own at most three. Their musical style is shaped by an instrument usually found in jazz clubs rather than punk rock stages: the saxophone. Yes, you heard that right, the saxophone – the preferred tool of the revolutionaries.
The Stage Bottles formed in 1993 from a bunch of anti-fascist skinheads because, well, why not? Musically, they describe their style as "classic melodic-aggressive punk rock", which probably means that they use both notes and aggressive drum rhythms - a wild combination that has so far only been mastered by this band.
Their new album, with the catchy title "We Need Each Other," is said to be an anthem for those who have stuck with them through thick and thin for decades. A call for global unity wrapped up in a musical cocktail so explosive it probably should be classified as a dangerous substance.
The singer and leader of the band, Olaf Rüger, explains that the album title is not a cliché, but the most fundamental slogan for the entire work. Apparently the Stage Bottles have unlocked the secret to world peace: According to Olaf, we all just need to stick together and listen to punk rock. Who would have thought?
So on December 1st, 2023 the world will be rocked again by the Stage Bottles. It is rumored that the album even contains a guide to solving global problems. So if you're about to save the world, make sure you have Stage Bottles on your playlist - society's unsung heroes are back, and they've got a saxophone with them!

The 1997 album by the New York hardcore legend is also their last, as singer Ray "Raybeez" Barbieri unfortunately died of pneumonia before it was released. The legacy are fifteen old school hardcore tracks that have lost absolutely nothing of authenticity and credibility, even compared to their first album and milestone of the NYHC "Don`t Forget The Struggle, Don`t Forget The Streets" from 1988.
