Many myths and scandals surround the legendary "Beck's Pistols" and the enduring mark they left on German punk history—ranging from their wild, raucous concerts to the forced name change (to "Pöbel & Gesocks") brought about by a German brewery. Frontman Willi Wucher became a cult icon thanks to his ferocious vocals and unbridled stage presence. Their raw punk style—devoid of any concern for sensibilities or etiquette—combined with their snotty, anti-social attitude effectively created a subgenre of its own: "Oi-Punk (Pervers)." The Beck's Pistols songs have arguably never sounded better than they do here, far surpassing the original studio recordings. You'll receive 5 or 10 7"s selected by us at a bargain price. It's not possible to select the titles. If you order multiple copies, we'll at least make sure that the individual titles are different, if it's possible. In honor of Record Store Day 2013, Pirates Press Records, Longshot Music, Contra Records, Randale Records, Oi! The Boat Records, and Rebellion Records teamed up to launch a year-long, weekly 7" record subscription! The intention of the UNDER ONE FLAG SINGLES SERIES was to unite Streetpunk and Oi! vinyl collectors worldwide, to celebrate the loyalty of this sub-genre, and to prove how strong we are when we come together as a one team, under one flag! Releasing one 7" record each week and limited to editions of only 350 records per title, this series kicked off on Record Store Day 2013. All records will be housed in a simple 'old school' full color printed paper innersleeve with printed center labels, inserted into a custom-printed shipping envelope. All six record companies involved contributed material for between 6-10 weeks. This series aimed to highlight great bands that fans of Punk and Oi! will already know, while also introducing the base to new and upcoming bands that are destined to be future favorites of the scene.
