Menace - G.L.C. (R.I.P.), LP black

Hailing from the South Coast of England from a fairly large town called Hastings, the band started off life called 'Charlie and the Criminals'. They notched up a few gigs under this name before opting for the 'Clockwork Criminals'. Despite the 'Young and Bold' EP coming out in 82 it was recorded in 1980. They played along side most of the other local bands that were around on the same gig circuit like 'Smeggy and the Cheesybits', 'The Teenbeats', 'The Pirahnas' and just about all the other top South Coast bands. Sadly the band only released one single but also had another track featured on a compilation album called 'Bullshit Detector' that was released on the 'Crass' label. NABAT, Italy’s longest running skinhead band, returns with their original and hard-hitting Oi, this time delving into reggae a bit as well. Consistent, diverse, and powerful stuff. This LP is dedicated to Nelson Mandela (among others), which sets NABAT prominently apart from the racist stupidity of most other bands. This compilation LP collects the band’s contribution to their 1994 split 7” with The Templars, a pair of comp tracks from 1993, and eight previously unreleased tracks from a 1992 recording session at an unknown studio, sourced from a recently unearthed tape reel that had been long forgotten. “Under the Boot + More Violence” is a companion release to the “Oi! NYC Skins” LP that contained the demo and three different tracks from the aforementioned 1992 recording session. Together, these two LPs form the definitive reissues of Oxblood’s classic era recordings, showcasing the band’s combative disposition with 16 tracks of unparalleled intensity and raw aggression.
