Cookies

In addition to the data mentioned above, cookies are stored on your device when you use our website. Cookies are small text files stored on your hard drive and assigned to the browser you use, and they provide certain information to the entity that sets the cookie (in this case, us). Cookies cannot run programs or transmit viruses to your computer. They serve to make the internet offering more user-friendly and effective overall.

Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a specified duration, which may differ depending on the cookie. You can delete cookies at any time in your browser’s security settings.

You can configure your browser settings as desired, for example, to refuse third-party cookies or all cookies. Please note that you may not be able to use all functions of this website if you do so.

For the purpose of demand-oriented design and ongoing optimization of our pages, we use Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google LLC (https://www.google.de/intl/en/about/) (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; hereinafter “Google”). In this context, pseudonymized usage profiles are created, and cookies are used. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website (such as browser type/version, operating system used, referrer URL, hostname of the accessing computer (IP address), time of the server request) is transmitted to and stored on a Google server in the USA.

This information is used to evaluate website usage, compile reports on website activity, and provide other services related to website and internet usage for the purposes of market research and website customization. This information may also be transferred to third parties if required by law or if third parties process this data on behalf of Google. Your IP address will not be merged with other Google data. IP addresses are anonymized so that they cannot be associated with any individual (IP masking).

You can prevent the installation of cookies by adjusting your browser software accordingly; however, please note that if you do so, you may not be able to use all functions of this website in full.

You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) as well as the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing a browser add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en).

As an alternative to the browser add-on, particularly for browsers on mobile devices, you can prevent the collection of data by Google Analytics by clicking on this link. An opt-out cookie will be set that prevents the future collection of your data when visiting this website. The opt-out cookie applies only to this browser and our website and will be stored on your device. If you delete cookies in this browser, you must reset the opt-out cookie.

Further information on data protection in connection with Google Analytics can be found in Google’s Analytics Help section (https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=en).

Data Security

This site uses SSL encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as inquiries you send to us as the site operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection when the browser’s address line changes from “http://” to “https://” and the lock symbol appears in your browser line. When SSL encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot generally be read by third parties.

We also employ appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction, or unauthorized access by third parties. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.

Please note that data transmission over the internet (e.g., communication via email) may have security vulnerabilities. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.
